I am doing a series of dog portraits for one of a TAFE Assignment.  For part of the assignment I have to create my series of photographs into a hard copy book. Harley was the first of many dogs that I am going to photograph for my series. I am planning on photographing around 15 different dog breeds and trying to find different locations to photograph them in. 

Harley is an Australian Shepherd, he is 3  years old. He is a very energetic dog that loves to go exploring and do different activities. Harley's bright blue eyes and his blue merle coat were absolutely amazing to photograph. I was trying to make these aspects the main features in my photos.

 I photographed Harley at Manning Park, Western Australia. This is a beautiful park that has lots of places to take photos. There are tall tree, logs to climb on and lots of green grass for dogs to play on. 

Harley was very well behaved and did basically everything I asked him to do. He would have done basically anything just to have some treats. I was very lucky to have a dog that was very photogenic and that wasn't afraid of the camera. Harley does tend to get side tracked when other dogs are around so i had to make sure I photographed him where there were't any other animals around.

 Harley was by far one of the easiest dogs I have worked with and I can't wait to show you guys the rest of my photo shoots to come for my final book on dog portraits.

RALPH HENDY: Golden Labrador Ralph Hendy: Ralph is my 9 year old Golden Labrador.  I photographed Ralph at  Scarborough dog beach in Perth, the day that I photographed it was pretty windy which meant that there were hardly any dogs there which was good because I knew that my dog would have gotten too distracted if there were other dogs or people there.  He absolutely loves to go to the beach, its the place where he can be himself and not worry about anything. When I was doing my photo shoot with him I was trying to take some photographs of him before he gets wet, but when i was getting my camera out of the camera bag he ran straight into the water. Ronnie the Curly Coated Retriever X Labrador

RONNIE GOODMAN Curly Coated Retriever X Labrador RONNIE GOODMAN Ronnie is a 4 year old Curly Coated Retriever x Labrador. Ronnie is a very timid and shy with strangers. He absolutely loves his family and he would do anything for his family. Ronnie is a friendly, excited and playful dog. At the same time he can get nervous and anxious when he is left alone or gets told off. Ronnie's main features are his chocolate brown coat with caramel colouring dreadlocks around his chest and on his legs.  Ronnie was photographed at Cliff Sadler Reserve. This park is Ronnie's favourite and where his owners always take him for daily walks. I chose to photograph Ronnie at a location that he knew and he felt comfortable with. As he does get quite nervous I didn't want to take him out of his comfort zone. This location suits Ronnie by the way there are areas that have a rustic feel. Flower Power' Model: Charlotte Adams  This shoot was taken at City Beach; Perth; Western Australia This shoot was used for my final Tafe Folio in 2012 for my Cert IV in Photo-imaging For my final folio I had to photograph three different fashion photography themes.  This theme was Hippie'. I think I successfully represented my model as a hippie by the clothes Charlotte wore and also by the locations which I photographed at e.g. field of wild flowers and near the beach,  these all resemble the stress free lives of hippies.  I just want to say a special thanks to my model Charlotte Adams for being such an  amazing person to work with and I know I will use her for more of my photo shoots. I am actually really happy with my final photo shoot!
